A bit About Me

Some things in life are uncomfortable by nature. If you must know anything about me, it is that I always strive for comfort. Thus I want to be as comfortable as I can wherever I am.
I am currently producing content for Pesarean Gunung Kawi, the cultural and religious pilgrimage site in Malang, East Java. This historical landmark is my family’s home, so it is an honor to be a part of the family and organization that keeps the legacy alive. I typically work on writing more of the historical and technical information surrounding Pesarean Gunung Kawi and I am in charge of the well-being of our social media and online communication systems, but I am also providing archival photos and accurate lore from the depths of the family’s storage rooms. Jokes aside, I am currently working on straightening the historical timeline and written records of the place. Things get pretty confusing after more than 150 years and I feel like some written records might help us in the long run.
Aside from the family business, I recently graduated with a BA in English and I guess I am a bit married to my subject because I can’t stop reading about the many branches of linguistics, the etymology behind words, how language changes and grows, and the likes. While I am trying to send some of my written works out there, most are still brewing in my lair (the desk next to my bed), so feel free to approach me on any interesting projects you have up your sleeves! These days I am diving deep into the transatlantic accent, mostly because I seem to have one due to my past schooling experiences, and the intricate system behind translations in the modern world. It is also a pleasure to be able to talk about current trends and pop culture, how it affects our speech and thoughts. But enough of the nerdy talk.
I can safely say that I am still a sucker for events and cute third spaces, or anything relating to art, linguistics, and adjacent subjects, so you may see some of those scattered about on this site. In real life, you can probably spot me on the chair-adjacent structure, scattered with my book(s) and a cup of iced coffee.
Well, that’s probably all I can say about myself at the moment, I hope you enjoy this website, and thank you for stopping by!
